Regular price
$10.00
Award winning songwriter, Christine Graves, returns to touring and performing music with a new LP release called Everyday Life. During the pandemic, working in a mental health hospital brought Graves back to recording in studio as an avenue to joy, building her self-belief in her gift of making music. From 2006 to 2008, Graves was artistic director at Blue Skies Music Festival. She released four independent CD's from 1995 to 2006 and toured Canada extensively. Graves has performed festival stages with Buffy Sainte-Marie, Blacksheep Inn stage with Feist, and played living rooms from Newfoundland to Vancouver Island. Her songs are contemporary folk, personal and political art without the lecture.
About Paul Spafford
When asked what kind of music he plays, Paul says "minimalist acoustic blues on weird folky instruments". When Paul became obsessed with the blues, he already owned a mandolin, banjos, and now an Irish bouzouki. He swears these instruments were practically built for the new arrangements he creates for favourite old delta, piedmont, and Chicago style blues. Nobody performs the blues like Paul does as he interprets the classics. His arrangements are a delicate interplay between the instruments and the authoritative growl of his vocals.
