In 2018, Danny Lee Duke (drums) and Rod Leggett (vocals, guitar) formed  Hemlock Hotel. At the time, the group mostly concentrated on playing cover songs from the Americana tradition. However, In 2020, the band released its first studio recording, which included the singles “America” and “Choosing You”. Then, in 2022, they released their sophomore EP entitled "Tailwind".

Hemlock Hotel appears regularly on Ottawa stages and in smaller communities along the Montreal, Ottawa and Kingston corridor. Known for their versatility, at their shows the band generates country & folk-rock feels but also pop and adult contemporary vibes. Currently Danny Lee and Rod are performing as a duo creating an intimate acoustic show.

Hemlock Hotel plans to return to the studio this fall to record a full album.
